PFG is based on a 54-hectare site in Springs, just outside Johanessburg and less than 20 minutes from OR Tambo International Airport. We employ 750 people to produce high quality float glass, rolled (patterned) glass, laminated glass products, mirrors and putty.
PFG has depots in Cape Town and Durban. Both these cities have major harbours, from which PFG's products are exported around the world.

PFG Building Glass is part of the PG Group, a leading figure in Africa 's glass industry with an expanding global footprint in the building and automotive sectors. PFG has two advanced float glass manufacturing lines, that run continuously for 365 days a year. Situated in Springs, west of Johanessburg, PFG was developed by Pilkington Bros in the 1950s, with the first drawn sheet glass line commissioned in 1951. A second sheet glass line was brought into production in 1965. Pilkington's revolutionary float glass technology was introduced when its first production line, SP3, was commissioned in 1977. This was followed by the introduction of a second float line (SP4), in 2007 and the upgrading and repair of SP3 in 2009.
