ProSun Solar Glass

PFG’s Prosun Solar is a quality SouthAfrican brand that has been developed to produce a world class, extra clear low iron patternedglass product for the solar hot water industry. Prosun Solar can also be used in a variety of other applicationssuch as solariums and greenhouses.

The glass has a textured bottom surface and a soft matt finish on the top surface, which assists in reducing glare. Due to improved composition of our glass it does not discolour over time.

PFG’s Prosun solar glass has been tested by a leading European research centre for thermal solar energy, and has been certified as 3.2mm – SPF U2 rating.

Due to the improved chemical composition of Prosun glass, the performance is measureably greater than that of normal glass in that it allows for greater thermal energy transmission.

If the glass is tempered and installed correctly it meets the SABS standard for Domestic Solar Water Heaters SANS 1210:1992. Tempering of the glass gives added protection of the absorber plate and other internal panel components, against hail and other weathering.
